With all the stimulation kids have in their lives these days, it's no wonder neurological disorders such as ADD and ADHD are on the rise.
Yoga has been shown to help both kids and adults settle the nervous system and have better focus. By incorporating breathing techniques, physical exercise and concentration, your child or children will be encouraged to calm down, relax, focus, and most importantly, have fun!
In kids yoga, traditional yoga postures (asanas) are given a fun spin, often given animal names, movements and sounds that mimic the animal to keep the kids engaged and having fun while they learn vital techniques to self-regulate that they can take with them into adulthood.
We will be offering two 5 weeks courses with 2 weekly 45 minute classes meeting Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:30.
First course: June 11 - July 19
Second course: July 30 - August 30
Cost is $80 per child for each 5 week course and must be paid prior to the start of each course.
